Portuguese defender Pepe confirmed he will be leaving Real Madrid, but insisted he was yet to agree to a deal with Paris Saint-Germain as he revealed interest from England.
The 34 year old will be out of contract at the end of the month and wanted a two-year deal at Madrid.
But, after being offered just a one-year extension, he has decided to move on from the club he joined from Porto in 2007.
“It is clear that I will not continue at Real Madrid,” he told Cope.
“One stage is over and, from now on, another one will start.”
Despite helping Madrid to win three La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns, injuries saw him make just 18 appearances in all competitions this season.
Pepe has been heavily linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants PSG and Serie A side Inter, but said he had options in the Premier League.
