Liverpool attacker, Sadio Mane would be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring injury he sustained on international duty with Senegal.
Mane, 25, was substituted in the 89th minute of a 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Cape Verde on Saturday.
As a result, Liverpool will be without their play-maker in Premier League games against Manchester United and Tottenham and two legged Champions League group fixtures against Maribor.
Mane has scored three goals for the Reds in five league matches so far this season.
Mane is also likely to miss two crucial games when Senegal faces South Africa on 10 and 14 November.
