606 migrants rescued off Libyan coast
Not fewer than 606 migrants has been rescued in less than two days off the Libyan coast. Including 241 children and 11 pregnant women

Aid group, SOS Méditerranée revealed that the migrants are from over 20 different countries in Africa and the Middle East.

Most of the women from sub-Saharan Africa are said to have suffered sexual abuse. The Aid group also added that the migrants are malnourished.

Over 50 of the migrants had fled to Libya from war torn Syria. However violence Libya has left them with no choice.

Italy has said that it is struggling to cope with the high influx.

The migrants’s nationalities includes; Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, Mali, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia and Yemen.
