7 star Manchester City again showed why they will stop at nothing to win the EPL this season as they thrashed Stoke 7-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
Six different City players found the back of the net, with Gabriel Jesus grabbing a brace, and his 17th-minute screamer was followed by Raheem Sterling’s strike (19′) before David Silva netted in the 27th minute to see City race into a 3-0 lead.
Stoke fought back with two goals either side of half-time as Mame Biram Diouf (44) scored ahead of the break, and the striker was involved again as a Kyle Walker own goal (47) made it 3-2 shortly after the restart.
Manchester City got back into goal scoring duty as they netted their next three goals in a space of six minutes. Jesus scoring his second (56) before Fernandinho (60) and Leroy Sane (62) all found the back of the net, with Bernardo Silva (79) completing the rout.
The result means that Manchester City returns back to the top of the table with a two points clear from Manchester United who sits second after a goalless deaw with Liverpool at anfield earlier today.
