WHO cancels Robert Mugabe goodwill ambassadorship
The head of The World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has revoked the appointment of President Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador following massive criticism.

According to Tedros;

“I have listened carefully to all who have expressed their concerns,”

Tedros had previously poured encomium on the Zimbabwean president for his commitment to public health.

However, critics pointed out that Zimbabwe’s healthcare system had collapsed in recent years.

Analysts has claimed that;

Staff often go without pay, medicines are in short supply, and Mr Mugabe, who has outlived the average life expectancy in his country by three decades, frequently travels abroad for medical treatment.
