2 Kenya Airways staff arrested with Heroin enroute to Lagos

Authorities has arrested two Kenya Airways staff at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport with over 40 kilgram of heroin aboard Kenya Airways flight KQ542.

The culprits has been identified as Alfric Otieno and Lennox Chestit by detectives. Kenyan Airway luggage handler identified as Kenneth Sinzore has also been arrested.

Head of Anti-Narcotic Police Unit Hamisi Masa revealed that the two men were arrested about 15 minutes before flight time on thursday

Mr Igwilo has named Chadwick Dondi Okoth, an ex Kenya Airways staff who was suspended after being found in possession of $17,000 (Sh1.8 million) back in march while returning to Kenya on official duty. Police said they suspected that he could have been involved in narcotics trafficking all along.

Police have intensified surveillance at the airport after it emerged that drug trafficking was committed in collusion with airline staff.
