It has now been confirmed that the whistle-blower who led EFCCto the famous apartment located in Ikoyi, Lagos where the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 was recovered in April 2017, will get his cut of a whooping 325 million Naira.
According to Nigeria’s whistle-blower policy;
Any whistle-blower whose information leads to the recovery of over 5 Billion Naira will get a 2.5 per cent reward from the recovered loot.
With the whistle-blower policy in consideration, the young man who led EFCC to the recovered loot at the Ikoyi apartment will get the sum of 325 million naira.

Speaking to the press while in Vienna, EFCC’s acting chairman Ibrahim Magu said that the whistle-blower is been counselled on how to handle the large sum of money that will be given to him in coming days. In his words;
“We are currently working on the young man because this is just a man who has not seen one million naira of his own before. So he is under counselling on how to make good use of the money and also the security implication. We don’t want anything bad to happen to him after taking delivery of his entitlement. He is national pride”.
