Romelu Lukaku to appear in Los Angeles court today over July arrest

Lukaku not Celebrating is Disrespectful

Romelu Lukaku scored for Manchester United against West Brom over the weekend and refused to celebrate same thing he did when he scored against Bournemouth.

Phil Johnso, a sports psychologist has said that the gesture is “disrespectful” to the former Everton striker and his team-mates,

Lukaku scored a fantastic header to hand Mourinnho’s men a 2-1 over West Brom at the Hawthorns to keep their faint title hope alive even as they remain 11 points behind Manchester City.

The former Everton and Chelsea striker merely stood facing the crowd after his goal, as he did after scoring against Bournemouth in a 1-0 win.

Phil Johnson told Betstars that Lukaku is showing a lack of respect to his fellow Manchester United teammates. In his words;

“Romelu Lukaku’s behaviour is reflecting Jose Mourinho,” he said. “I know the Belgium management team.

“Lukaku is a young guy, like Anthony Martial, who needs support. If he played for Pep Guardiola, he would have a totally different relationship where he would receive a different style of support than what he gets from Mourinho.

“Lukaku needs the ball to score. Look at Radamel Falcao when he went to United and he only scored a couple of goals, then comes back to Monaco and he’s top scorer. At Everton they played to Lukaku’s strengths, but they aren’t doing that at United, despite his good start.

“I think for Lukaku not to celebrate is disrespectful to his teammates, to himself and it reflects his manager’s approach.”

Manchester United will face Bristol City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday, before returning to Premier League action against Leicester City on Saturday.

Chelsea intensifies Andy Carroll Chase

Reports making the rounds today reveals that Chelsea are hugely interested in signing Andy Carroll from West Ham this month.

The Premier League champions has suffered a third successive goalless draw, for the first time in their history, against Leicester City on Saturday seems to have lost faith in Álvaro Morata.

The Spaniard has scored only twice in the top flight since mid-November and has gone five games without a goal.

Antonio Conte has now turned to Carroll for rescue as the Italian man continues to be reluctant to play Michy Batshuayi who will possibly be going on loan to Sevilla if a replacement can be secured.

Andy Carroll signed for West Ham from Liverpool in 2013 for £15m, and has seen his impact limited by injury in the years since.

Verge24 understands that the move for Chelsea signing Carroll may be a short-term solution before a summer recruitment drive, and West Ham would take some persuasion to part with Carroll on a six‑month loan deal.

David Moyes suggested last week that he would not want to see any of his forwards depart. Yet that may not dissuade Chelsea from exploring the option, reflecting the need to pep up the forward line amid a cluttered schedule.

Kelechi Iheanacho Going Nowhere – Claude Puel

Leicester City coach Claude Puel has dismissed speculation of his £25 million striker Kelechi Iheanacho leaving due to lack of playing time this January.

Puel refused to write off the former Manchester City forward, who has found the back of the net just once for the club this season.

Kelechi Iheanacho signed for Leicester in the summer from Manchester City but has made just two Premier League starts for the foxes.

The Nigerian Super Eagles attacking forward is expected to be on his way out of the club for a possible playing time in a quest to guarantee his place in the team to represent Nigeria in Russia later this year.

Last week, Nigeria national team handler Gernot Rohr said that he expects Iheanacho and his teammate Ahmed Musa to leave the King Power Stadium because of their lack of playing time, Puel has however dismissed any exit talk. According to him;

“We don’t know about what the national trainer said. We will see. We have discussions with different players. For example Iheanacho is a young player, arrived this season, and he will stay with us.

“I cannot talk about details about players. It is important to have a good balance in the team and have a good game time for the players.

“Iheanacho is a young player, he signed this season with us and we have to develop him. I hope he can have more game time in the second half of the season.”

He is a young player who arrives in a good team where there is competition and he needs to keep working and improve.”

Leicester will visit Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League with Jamie Vardy fit after a groin injury.
